SUBDIVISION DESIGNED BY P&A WINS AWARDS
Tue, Sep 04 2007 The 36 homes that make up the Hancock Place subdivision are attractive, affordable, well-constructed, and energy efficient. These qualities were impressive enough to win the subdivision first place in the St. Johns County Parade of Homes. The homes are constructed of concrete block to keep maintenance costs low and were specifically designed and landscaped to conserve water and electricity.
According to Bill Lazar, Director of The St. Johns Housing Partnership:
"We’re thrilled to have won in the St. Johns County Parade of Homes in our category. Not only did we win the Parade, but we also received the Community Wide Landscaping award from the Florida Yard and Neighborhoods program. Our workforce housing homes are both Energy Star (with a HERS score of 73) and will meet the Water Management Districts Water Star guidelines (once they are finalized). All designed as part of our commitment to keep the monthly costs affordable."
